NBA Releases Names For Three-Point Contest, James Jones To Defend Title

Tonight, the NBA released the contestants for the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, which is going to take place on All-Star  Saturday night. The Miami Heat’s James Jones is going to defend his crown, find out who his challengers for his title will be!

The challengers are:

  • Ryan Anderson (Orlando Magic)
  • Mario Chalmers (Miami Heat)
  • Joe Johnson (Atlanta Hawks)
  • Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves)
  • Anthony Marrow (New Jersey Nets)

I am not sure how they pick the contestants, other than the fact that Anderson leads the NBA in three pointers made and attempted. Either way it should be a decent shoot out! I will, of course be rooting for my boy Rhino, AKA Ryan Anderson of the Orlando Magic! I do think if any team should have had two players in the contest it should be the hometown Magic, considering that the team is built around three-point shooting. I think the fact that JJ Redick hasn’t been in a three point shootout thus far is kind of a crime LOL.
