Cash Money really is trying to sign everyone. It was announced on Thursday that Limp Bizkit has been signed to Cash Money Records.

Here’s what Lil Wayne said, via MTV:

In an interview with New York’s 98.7 KissFM station DJ Lenny Green, Wayne said, “We’re always listening and looking at acts. Every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money … The other day I found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. They’re signing everybody.”

Bizkit singer Fred Durst
confirmed the Cash Money news early Friday morning in a series of Tweets, including one in which he wrote, “The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!! Cash Money Limp Bizkit.” He later added, “rock s— doesn’t rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I’m back in this ho! #CMLB.”

Limp Bizkit is one of my all-time favorite bands, I’m not sure how I feel about this. A band of their stature, 33 million records sold, signing with a label that is mostly hip-hop is questionable. It tells me they are trying to get back into being something they once were. It’s very possible LB has more records sold than all of Cash Money combined.

I wouldn’t mind hearing a Wayne verse on a future LB song. However, if I see Drake and LB together, it’s screw LB for life. I’ll quit.

There’s no word as of yet on when LB will release new music through CM.
