Metta World Peace will make his first one-on-one interview since his suspension tomorrow night (5/7) on ‘Conan.’ World Peace was originally scheduled to appear on the show last week, but was cancelled after the fallout from his suspension. USA Today, citing an e-mail from the show’s publicist, is reporting World Peace will indeed be on the show tomorrow night.
The Lakers lost on Friday night to the Nuggets, bringing the Lakers’ series lead to 2-1. While some might think it’s beneficial to ‘throw’ a couple of games (in order to get World Peace back before the next series), the Lakers don’t want to think like that. Lakers point guard Ramon Sessions told the LA Times:
Even though we want [World Peace] back as soon as possible, if there’s more games, guys are liable to get hurt, it’s more minutes for them running up and down the court,” point guard Ramon Sessions said before Friday’s game. “If we sweep them, we get more rest. With the playoffs, you’ve got to get the wins where you can get them.
World Peace was of course suspended for seven games for delivering an elbow to Oklahoma City’s James Harden. If the series goes to seven games, World Peace would be eligible to play. He will miss the next three games.
