Jennifer Hudson gets justice!

Jennifer Hudson went to blow off some steam with her fiance David Otunga this past weekend at Six Flags Great America in Chicago. Her ex-brother in-law, William Balfour, was convicted of killing her mother, brother, and nephew.

On Friday, he was found guily on all counts of murder, including home invasion, armed robbery and kidnapping. He also faces a mandatory life sentence. Jennifer broke down as the verdict was being read.

Hopefully she can put the trial behind her and move on with her life even if it includes the lawyer/former lover of New York/WWE Wrestler.

Couple Alert: Rita Ora and Rob Kardashian!

Well clearly love is in the air! There have been rumors that the new ROC Nation artist, Rita Ora has been spending a lot of time in London with Rob Kardasian. Rob is very protective about this relationship, in fact, the last time a photographer tried to snap a pic of them, Rob almost got arrested chasing the guy around a store and allegedly threatening to kill him.

But after Rita’s new single “R.I.P.” went #1, Rob really couldn’t hold back the pride and love for his new girl!

I don’t know much about Rita Ora, but I think I get good vibes from these 2, especially since Rob is clearly not trying to milk this relationship on t.v. like his sisters.

Jay-Z Announces “Made In America” Festival in Philly

I know music news is usually for the boys here at Thoughts of a Jeanius, but I just couldn’t help myself…my favorite man in music is hosting the “Made in America festival in Philly this summer!

Jigga, or as I like to call him, Shawn (cause I know him like that) released a cryptic video last Friday with H.A.M. playing in the background to a montage of concert-goers and town halls.

As everyone was getting fed-up with the guessing game, Mr. Carter held a press conference this morning, announcing that he will be hosting the”Made in America Festival,” to be held this labor day weekend.

Not only will he be headlining, but he’s supposed to get 28 acts from all different music genres for the two-day festival. He didn’t name anyone in the line-up, but 70% of it is confirmed.

I just know this is going to be #epic.

Jigga has the power to bring Outkast back, all the Marleys, and have holograms of the deceased Beatles with Paul McCartney!

*pours liquor for the dead homies of the Beatles*

We all know Ye’ will be there, Bey probably, and my new favorite Frank Ocean.

All I need is someone to let me know if I can crash on their couch in Philly for the weekend and I will be there!

But I’m so serious. Like Forreal.

Portions of the proceeds will be donated to the greater area of Philadelphia’s United Way.

Tickets will be available on LiveNation on Wednesday, May 23.
