Continuing our countdown of the best, or in this case worst, of 2012. Today we’re back with our selections of the four most annoying songs of 2012, surprisingly no one chose this so we’ll give it honorable mention:

‘Time Magazine’ Names “Climax” By Usher Song Of The Year

It’s that time of the year when everyone, including us here at Thoughts of a Jeanius, start putting together their Best of 2012 lists. To the best of my knowledge Time Magazine is the first to put their list out, and earlier this week they named the Usher‘s D!plo produced single “Climax,” top song 2012. They certainly have an interesting list, for lack of a better term, which features the likes of Psy, Carlee Rae Jepsen, and Nicki Minaj just to name a few.

American Music Awards Nominees Released, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj Lead The Pack

The nominees for the 40th annual American Music Awards were announced today and Nicki Minaj and Rihanna lead the pack with four nominations each. As if that wasn’t enough to make this show out to be a complete joke, this is a fans vote awards show, and Tyga was one of three rappers nominated for FavoriteArtist – Rap/Hip Hop, and how does Katy Perry, who hasn’t dropped an album in almost two years get nominated for Artist of the Year? Ridiculous.

Video: Nicki Minaj Threatens to “Knock Out” Mariah Carey on ‘American Idol’ Set

Well, file this one in the ‘I told you so’ department — Nicki Minaj appears to have verbally threatened Mariah Carey on the set of ‘American Idol’ auditions. In a video obtained by TMZ, Minaj clearly is upset with Carey as she is seen cussing her out. TMZ is reporting that Nicki threatened to knock Carey out during auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina. That part, however, is not seen in the video, but sources told TMZ those threats came later on.

The incident began when the two had a disagreement over a contestant’s performance. “I told them, I’m not f—in’ putting up with her f*ckin’ highness over there,” Minaj is heard yelling on the video. TMZ also says that the auditions were cancelled for the rest of the day so the two “could cool off,” and show executives are concerned over whether the two can coexist on the show.
